January 15, 1963 – May 19, 2025

It is with great sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of our loving brother and uncle, after a courageous and fast battle with pancreatic cancer at the Sault Area Hospital on May 19, 2025, at the age of 62.

Timothy is predeceased by his parents Olivia Paulson and Allan Rae Byce. Survived by his siblings Allan (Peggy), Robert, Kris (Lee), Lori Fahrenkopf (Michael), and Dawne Byce. Special uncle to Jodie, Tammie, Rhiannon, Damien, Kris Jr., Koreen, Kathie, Chelsey, Anthony, Rachel, Kayla, and Nikki.

He will be deeply missed by his extended family, including his uncles, aunts, and cousins from Chapleau and especially by one special cousin Lee Pressel (late Valerie).

Timothy left a lasting mark on the lives of everyone he touched. His life's journey was a testament to the power of love, compassion, and devotion to Tim's kindness and generosity which inspired those around him, leaving a lasting impact through his gift for making others laugh with his many stories.

Tim's passion for music and for his favourite band Rush was boundless, with "Working Man" being a standout favourite that never got old. This enduring enthusiasm mirrored his dedication to his 45-year career at the railway, where he forged lasting bonds with colleagues. His days were filled with laughter and camaraderie, as he shared a many beers, stories, jokes, and adventures with his lively crew. Tim's warmth and humour brought endless joy to those around him. It was at CN Rail that he met and befriended Bill Denning (Charlene) forming a lasting friendship that brought joy and companionship in his life.

Tim's legacy lives on through the countless lives he touched, leaving an enduring impact on all who knew him. His life was a shining example of love, kindness, and family devotion. Though his passing leaves a profound void, his memory will forever be cherished in our hearts.

The family would like to thank the dedicated staff on 3A as well as the palliative care team of the Sault Area Hospital, Dr. White, Dr. Bowen, as well as Joy Ryan for the care and compassion shown to Tim.

Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Timothy’s Life on Friday, May 23, 2025, at O’Sullivan Funeral Home (215 St. James St, SSM) from 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm. Inurnment to follow at Greenwood Columbarium.
