Surrounded by family on December 16th, 2020, after a short courageous battle with cancer, we lost our most loved husband, father, grandfather, brother and dear friend, at the age of 77.
George is survived by his loving wife Gladys (Garson) of 54 years. Devoted father of Judy Williams (Tom), Vicky Barsanti (Dave), Donna Cameron (Derek Miller), and Glenna Cameron. Proudest grandpa of Jordan (Amanda), Justin (Carlie) and Caleb (Taylor) Williams, Emily, Hilary, Kevin and Olivia Barsanti, Brenna and Carter Ianni and Georgia-Rae Cameron. Great grandfather of Oliver and Jack Williams and the two little ones on the way, that he was so looking forward to meeting. Will be missed by his furbaby Stanley.
George was predeceased by his parents Edith and Peter Cameron and his in-laws Helen and John Garson.
George is the special brother of Gerald (Sue), Dale (June) and the late Jim (Janice) Cameron. Brother-in-law to Helen St. John (late Charlie), late Marg McDonald (late Jack), late Jack (Penny), Lois Oliver (Bob, late Lawrence Andrews) Bob (late Anne), Jim (Wendy), Glenn (late Wilma), Phyliss Whalen (Randy), Harold (Teresa) Garson.
George leaves behind many nieces, nephews and friends who he cherished very much.
George was known for his hard-working big hands and warmest heart. He loved his summers on Basswood Lake, hunting, bowling, playing cards and making friends wherever he went. We will always remember him for his adventurous spirit, which he has instilled in all of us, his endless love, his jokes and great sense of humour and for introducing us all to egg in a cup!
Special thanks to Dr. Fritz, Dr. Berg, Mary-Ann and Allison from Bayshore and the many PSW’s that made his final days comfortable.
In George’s honour, we ask that you please pay forward a random act of kindness to brighten someone else’s day and to always be kind.
As per George’s request, we will not be having a formal funeral at this time, but rather a celebration of life in the Spring. There are not enough words to describe how much we will miss you!
Toodaloo... until we meet again.
