CARON, Gilbert Maurice

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Gilbert at A.R.C.H. on Saturday, January 30th, 2016 at the age of 75.  He will be greatly missed by his wife Léola (Lee).  Dear father of Grégoire (Melodie), Orléans ON and Richard (Lise), Blainville Qc.  Cherished grandfather of Robert, Emilie,  Mathieu and Eric.  Predeceased by his parents Étienne and Germaine Caron.  Brother of  Ronald (Hélène), Sault Ste. Marie ON, Georgette Grégoire (Guy), Évain Qc., Aline Thauvette (late Exélus), Rouyn-Noranda Qc., Gaston (Thérèse), Rouyn-Noranda Qc., Claudette Godard (Gaston), St-Jérôme Qc., Rolande DiMambro (late Antonio), Scarborough ON., Julien (Gabrielle Fortin), Oka Qc. (Predeceased by Cécile Lord (late Léonard), Fernand (late Liliane), Yvon (Julie), Robert (late Cécile), Bertrand (Patricia), Isabelle Gingras (late Léo-Paul), Denise.  Son-in-law of Donat and Alpha Desroches.  Brother-in-law of Georges Desroches (Linda), Lafontaine ON, Georgette Forget (Michel), Penetanguishene ON, François Desroches (Barbara), Kars ON, Victor Desroches (Linda), Bishops Mills ON and the late Edgar Desroches.   He will be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the SAH Cancer Clinic or to A.R.C.H. would be appreciated by the family.  Friends may call at Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Tuesday, February 2nd, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  A funeral mass will be celebrated at Paroisse Ste-Marie-du-Sault on Wednesday, February 3rd , 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Jean Pierre Mukuna officiating. A special thank you to Drs. Buehner, Fera, Fratesi, Mathur, Rassouli and Reich for their care and compassion.  We would also like to acknowledge the caring and professional staff and volunteers at the SAH Cancer Clinic, the A.R.C.H. and the CCAC.
