Friends and family are invited to celebrate the life and legacy of one Sault theatre's brightest stars as we host KARAPALOOZA at the Sault Community Theatre Centre on Sunday, Oct. 27 from 2 to 5 p.m. In true Kara style, the event will include all of her favourite things: wine, food, Disney and karaoke!
What visitors can expect
Happy Memories Book
We invite everyone to share a memory or story about Kara that brings joy and happiness. Come prepared to add it to the "Happy Memories" book. Feel free to bring something prewritten to add to the book at the celebration, but Sharpies will be available as well.
Costumes and Karaoke
At the request of Kara's son Aeden, the event will be a Disney-themed costume karaoke party! Come dressed as your favourite character and get ready to sing on the big Community Theatre Centre stage, a place Kara loved with all her heart. Costumes are encouraged, but not required. If you don't have one, no one will be turned away!
Silent Auction
There will be a silent auction that includes collections of some of Kara's favourite things and cherished items. All proceeds will go towards an education fund for her son and "Greatest Invention", Aeden.
Karapalooza Merch
Show your love for Kara by snagging some exclusive Karapalooza merch! All proceeds will go toward creating a fund managed by her friends and family, dedicated to supporting the local arts community. This fund will be used to offer scholarships or bursaries to up-and-coming artists, ensuring Kara’s love for the arts continues to inspire future generations. Wearables will be available soon through an SK Group Inc. online store. Stickers and other merch will be available at the event by donation.
Dress Bright, Bring Your Smile
Let’s celebrate Kara’s life the way she would have wanted—in bright colours and with big smiles. This is a day to remember our wonderful friend Kara and all the joy she brought into our lives.
Visitors are asked to please use the side Studio Theatre entrance, and not the main school entrance. Additional information about KARAPALOOZA can be found on the Facebook event page.
