CHOJNOWSKI, Daryl Mark Harry

After a brave and courageous battle with cancer Daryl passed away at the Algoma Residential Community Hospice surrounded by the love of his family on Friday, October 13, 2017 at the age of 42.  Cherished husband of Melissa for 12 years.  Proud and devoted father of Tia and Aiden.  Beloved son of Mark and Jo-Ann and brother of Dina.  Dear son-in-law of Carol and John Swift and brother-in-law of Laura Swift.  Loving Grandson of Margaret Morley (late Harry), the late Ann and Zoltan Kovacs and the late Ed Vismanis. Daryl will be sadly missed by many, aunts, uncles and cousins from the Chojnowski, Morley, Hess, Swift and extended families. Daryl’s memory will forever be treasured by many special friends’ he has touched in his life from his childhood, to work and also hockey, especially La-Na Fragomeni and Curtis Assiginack.  Special thank you to Dr. Spadafora, the staff of the Sault Area Hospital Cancer Clinic, Debbie Collins and the staff at ARCH for all of their care and compassion.  Friends and family are invited to a memorial visitation at the Arthur Funeral Home – Barton and Kiteley Chapel on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 from 4pm-8pm.  A private family interment will be held at West Korah Cemetery.  Memorial donation can be made to ARCH or to Tia and Aiden’s Education.  Daryl wanted to express his heartfelt gratitude to everyone for their love and support not only for him at the benefit held in his honour but also for Melissa, Tia and Aiden.
