On June 24, 2025, at the age of 62, Valarie made her journey into the arms of God. Greeted by her father Robert Lapossie and her brother Robert Jr. (Bobbie) Lapossie. Valarie's loving husband Gerald Christmas was by her side as she went peacefully.
Valarie will continue to watch over her children from above, Shereena Campbell and David Christie (Amanda). She was always so proud of them and never missed an opportunity to tell people that. She will be missed by her grandchildren Teyla, Kaelynn (Erick), Elena, Emma, Eve-lynn, Kaleesi and Arabella. Valarie leaves behind her mother Rosalie Lapossie and her sisters Carolyn Mullin (Mike) and Nancy Guggins (Richard). She was the daughter in law of Audrey McCann.
Valarie was loved by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Family meant the world to her heart.
Valarie will be remembered by many playing her guitar and singing. Music and gathering around a table with family and friends were some of her most cherished moments.
In honour of her wishes, there will be no viewing, and she will be cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
