Peacefully passed away at home on Sunday, June 22, 2025 at the age of 94. Beloved husband of Rosa for 68 years. Cherished and devoted father of Ivana Coccimiglio (Otto Volpe), Sandra Maione (Angelo), Romano Coccimiglio and Christina Masse (Jeff). Proud and loving Nonno of Jessea (Adrian), Jaryd (Nicole), Anthony, Makayla and Andrew. Loving Great Nonno Gino of Jorai and Breya. Son of the late Francesco and Angela Coccimiglio. Brother of Cesare Coccimiglio (Maria), Michelina Naccarato (late Battista) and predeceased by Elvira Guzzo (Raffaele), Rosaria Coccimiglio (Archangelo), Louisa Meraglia (Salvatore), Anna Rosa (Eugenio), Maria Plastino (Antonio) and Mario Coccimiglio (Teresa). Son-in-law of the late Antonio and Giulia Coccimiglio. Brother-in-law of the late Sam Coccimiglio (Concetta), Maria Palarchio (late Amadeo), Frank Coccimiglio (Maria), Gisella Gardi (late Vic) and Theresa Sweezey (Dan). Special uncle to his many nieces and nephews.
Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758) on Thursday, June 26, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass to be celebrated at St. Veronica’s Church on Friday, June 27, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. with Father Peter Nwachukwu officiating. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Algoma Residential Community Hospice (ARCH) or St. Veronica’s Church would be greatly appreciated by the family.
