October 17, 1990 – May 28, 2025

With deep love and very heavy hearts, the family announces the passing of Brandon Collins on May 28, 2025. Born October 17, 1990, Brandon was in his 35th year.

Brandon’s companion was Cassidy Ryan, proud mother to his most precious gift, Asher Collins. He was the beloved son of Winston Collins, and Sylvie Collins and her spouse Keith Smith (Smitty). Brandon was a cherished brother to Elisha Cowan (Bobby) and a proud uncle to Dakotia and Dashton.

Brandon shared a close and loving bond with his grandparents, Flora and the late Barry Cormier, and Ralf and the late Jeanette Collins, who were an important part of his life. He is also survived by his uncles Daniel Cormier (Sogna), Edmond Dubois (Jeannine), and Barry Jr. Cormier (Melanie); and by his aunts Miriam Sharpe (Joe) and Nancy Noel.

He leaves behind many cousins with whom he shared laughter, memories, and meaningful moments — including Justine Slewidge, Jamie Sharpe, Regies Dubois, Rejean Dubois, and Nathaniel Cormier.

Brandon found deep comfort in nature. He loved fishing, camping, and especially treasured the peaceful moments spent in a canoe alongside his grandfather. The outdoors was more than a pastime — it was where Brandon felt grounded, free, and truly at peace.

He held a special place in the heart of his mother, Sylvie, and their bond was one of deep love, trust, and understanding. Brandon was also a deeply cherished son to his father, Winston.

Among those mourning his loss is his faithful companion, Duke, his loyal dog, who was always by Brandon’s side through life’s quiet moments and everyday adventures.

Brandon will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his quiet strength, and the kindness he showed so naturally. He had a way of making others feel seen, valued, and close to his heart.

Though he is deeply missed, his memory will live on in the hearts of all whose lives he touched.

Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of Brandon’s life will be announced at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made to the SSM Humane Society (payable online or by cheque).
