“For every human being there rises a light that reaches straight to heaven and when two souls that are destined to be together find each other, the streams of light flow together and a single brighter light goes forth from that united being.”

~Ba’al Shem Tow

Like a shooting star Deana was a light in the world that burned bright for too short a time.  Deana was married to her best friend and in the true sense of the word, her soul mate, Adam Cowley.  They are parents to sons Nixon and Reid – her ‘reasons to live’.  Deana leaves behind her parents Nancy and Hugh Juby and brothers Logan and Kyle (Ashley). She was aunt to Evan, Adelyn and Marley Juby. Daughter-in-law of Lucy Gingras (Mac) and Doug Cowley. Sister-in-law to Logan Cowley. Deana is granddaughter to Rosemary and the late Lindsey Juby and the late Amelia and late William Biron. She is niece to Sherry (Bob) McGregor, the late Joan Biron, Brenda (Michael) O’Neill, Debbie (Curt) Kirby and Heather (John) Luszka and cousin to many. Friends and co-workers – too many to mention will mourn the loss of Deana. As per Deana’s wishes, cremation will take place. A Celebration of her Life will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank Sault Area Hospital Oncology and Intensive Care Units for their care and compassion given to Deana. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Tracy’s Dream or the Sault Area Hospital Critical Care Unit. Deana fought an extraordinary battle to the very end.  She was strong and courageous and unwavering in her desire to stay here to be with her family and to raise her sons with Adam.   She was a soul with joy and laughter and was loved by many.  She was too young – too vibrant – too bright a shining light to ever forget.  Deana’s wish was to have her boys remember her.  We can keep her light burning. Arrangements entrusted to O'Sullivan Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 215 St. James St, 705-759-8456.
