It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a beautiful mother and nonna at the F.J. Davey Home on Friday, June 17th, 2016 in her 82nd year. Beloved wife of the late Angelo Crosato (1989). She is survived by her children and spouses; Francesco “Frank” (Sherry), Lillian Archibald (Jerry), Eddie (Shelley), Vanda St. Jules (Ivan)  and Valerio “Larry” (Tooti), all residents of Sault Ste. Marie. Very much loved nonna of Nathan Crosato (Teresa), Kay Vallee (Greg), David Archibald (Cara Furkey), Colleen Archibald (Mike McMillan), Krystal Crosato, Nicole and Christine St. Jules, Lucas and Mitchell Crosato, step nonna to Michel St. Jules (Christine), Ivan St. Jules (Allie)  and Andrew Chikoski. Sister of the late Mario Calesso, late Luigia, Giulia, Maria, and Romilda all of Treviso Italy, and the late Elena Pozzebon (Archie) of Sault Ste. Marie. Cesarina was no stranger to hard work. She often laboured alongside her husband Angelo as a bricklayer’s helper, raised 3 sons and 2 daughters, and no one ever left her table hungry. An avid gardener for many years, she willingly shared the fruits of her labour, tomatoes, peppers, peas and wonderful zucchini blossom fritters.  She was a member of St. Veronica’s Church and for most of her years in Canada loved the walk to Mass with her wonderful neighbours. She resided on McFadden Street until her move to the F.J. Davey Home in 2012. She cherished her Sunday telephone calls connecting with her sisters in Italy. Friends and family may join us for visitation at the Arthur Funeral Home and Cremation Centre on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 from 10am until 12:30pm. Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 1:30pm from St. Veronica’s Church (Douglas Street) with Rev. Ron Ambeault officiating. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Family and friends would like to thank all of the staff of Second Driftwood and Second Cedar Palliative Care. Their dedicated care was truly appreciated. Memorial donations to the F.J. Davey Home or ARCH would be greatly appreciated. Expressions of sympathy may be made at www.arthufuneralhome.com
