DEAR, Maria

Peacefully at Mapleview Nursing Home on Monday, November 7, 2016 at the age of 77. Our mother was a woman who worked hard her whole life. She conquered tough battles, was an amazing seamstress who spent over 25 years fitting clothes at the Fashion Shop. Being a true European, she loved to cheer on Germany and her BMW Formula 1 racing team. She came to Canada to visit a friend, fell in love with her husband Robert Dear and her new country Canada, but her heart always belonged to Germany, where she still has a brother, an aunt and many cousins. Dementia took her from us a long time ago, but we will always remember her as the beautiful, amazing Mother and Oma, Maria Anna Dear. We will miss you and love you always, your children Rick Dear (Louise) and Michelle Iarusso (Mark) and your grandchildren Autumn, Zack, Elle and Uma. Family and friends are invited to visit at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Thursday, November 10, 2016 from 4:30 – 6:30 pm. Funeral service to be held in the chapel at 7 pm.
