It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Bernard Francis Doran on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at the Sault Area Hospital in his 94th year.
Beloved husband of the late Angela Walz-Doran and the late Katherine Doran. Loving father of John Doran of Toronto and cherished grandfather of Luke Doran. Devoted step-dad of Michael, Derek (Gina) and Rob (Lisa) Walz. Step-granddad of Adam (Kelly), Paul (Jacqueline), Marcus (Trina), Kristie Thompson (Sean) and Brianna Walz. Step-great-grandfather to 6 with one on the way. Predeceased by his siblings John, Mary and Peter and survived by his sister Margaret, all of England.
Bernie was a lucky man to have in his life a bonus family, Debbie Stone, her children Andrea and Michael Stone and their extended families. Their immeasurable devotion, care and love for Bernie was evident in his life.
Bernie had an adventurous life one can only dream of, but his faith in God was what drove him to live a most peaceful, gratifying and loving life. His love for animals of all kinds, exhibited his never ending compassion. He truly will be missed.

Friends and family are invited to gather at Precious Blood Cathedral (778 Queen Street East) on Friday, June 13, 2025, from 10:30 am until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11:00 am, Fr. Hamish Currie officiating. Interment will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions made payable online or by cheque to Precious Blood Cathedral would be greatly appreciated.
