It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of the heart of our family, Ted Dumanski at ARCH on December 9, 2019 at the age of 74. He was the adoring husband of Nina for 35 years. Much loved father of Leeann (Kyle), Laurisa (Bob), Ted Jr (late Trina) and Lexi (Josh). Special Gagu to Berlyn, Chase, Dawson, Riley (Ben), Crosby and Kosceilina. Great Gagu to baby Ethan. Son of the late Stan and Bertha Dumanski. Brother to Joe Dumanski (Rena). Much loved son-in-law of Raffaela and Saverio Pucci. Loved brother in law of Mary & Al Caputo, Nella & Jack Sicoli, Carla & Art Sicoli and Larry & Sue Pucci. Special uncle to many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Special Faja to Sophia and friends to Kaylee & Brad and family. Ted loved his fur babies Spike, Gemma, Lucy and Stanley.
Ted loved his job at Algoma Steel, working there 55 years, enjoying the many friendships with colleagues and out of town customers as well as being a mentor to many. In true Ted character, he fought his battle with strength, dignity and giving cancer hell.
Ted lived his life with the motto, “work hard, play hard and love a lot” and anyone that knew him can attest to this. His sense of loyalty, depth of love, immeasurable sense of humor, his incredible honesty and integrity made Ted the person he was. He had a refreshing kid at heart attitude which made everyone smile.
For us who were honoured to know and love Ted, we will forever be indebted for his example of living a full life with incredible standards.
In respect to Ted’s wishes, there will be no funeral or visitation. We ask that you keep his memory alive in the way that he would wish for us to remember him. The family would like to thank Dr. R Buckstein, Dr. Jiajia and team at Sunnybrook Hospital for their compassionate care, staff at the SAH Cancer Clinic, Dr. S. Beuhner and ARCH for their emphatic care, Alysha and the rest of the Home Care nurses at Paramed. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to ARCH or Sault Ste. Marie Humane Society. Arrangements entrusted to O’Sullivan Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 215 St. James St, 705-759-8456.
