It is with heavy hearts we regret to announce the passing of Geniale Falsetto on April 27, 2021 at the age of 84. He is now reunited with his much loved and cherished wife Irma.
Born in Cleto, Cosenza on May 2, 1936, Geniale arrived in Halifax in February of 1965 and settled in Ottawa. He lived a life rooted in humility and anchored to hope and optimism. A loving, caring and generous man, he was always willing to lend a helping hand. He had an ability to raise everyone’s spirit as he shared his life stories with family, friends and neighbours. His life always revolved around his family and friends and has left a void in the hearts of all who loved him. He will be missed beyond measure.
Cherished by his dear children, Maria Antonia Valle (Orlando), Ferdinando, Gina Feraco, Nella Perri (David), Margherita Bergamin (Sante) and Milva who will remember him fondly always. Proud Nonno to Francesco (Jennifer), Maria (Benjamin), Geniale (Martina), Giovanni, Michael (Andrea), Silvana (Michael), Amanda, Daniel, Deno, Melissa, Clarissa and Donato. Great grandfather of Gia, Nicola, Anastacia, Luca and Sophia. Son of the late Maria Antonia and Ferdinando. Brother of Amedeo (Late Louisa) and late Fiorenzo (Francesca) Falsetto.
We would like to extend our thanks and heartfelt gratitude to all the staff from Bayshore Health and City View Retirement for their patient and compassionate care provided to dad. We are forever grateful.
Due to the current restrictions, a private family service is being held at Kelly Funeral Home-Somerset Chapel and Entombment will be held at Capital Memorial Gardens, Ottawa.
The family would like to express their gratitude to everyone for their support and prayers during this difficult time. In memoriam donations to the Ottawa Civic Hospital or a charity of choice is greatly appreciated.
