FARRELL, Maureen Theresa

(June 16, 1933 – June 13, 2016) – In loving memory of Maureen, who died at Extendicare Maple View on Monday, June 13th, 2016 at the age of 82. Daughter of the late Josephine Buschmann and Maurice Farrell. Maureen is predeceased by her siblings Father Francis Farrell S.J., Sister Mary Farrell C.N.D, Rita Farrell, Rose Heffernan, Patrick Farrell M.D., Margaret Cainen, Maurice Farrell M.D., and Msg. Raymond Farrell. She is survived by her sister Bernadette Farrell of Montreal, sister-in-law Barbara Farrell of Sudbury, and many nieces and nephews. After attending High School in Copper Cliff she entered the Congregation of Notre Dame (C.N.D), in Kingston. She taught school in Montreal, Ottawa, Kingston, Cornwall and Toronto. After her departure from C.N.D. she worked in the Ministry of the Diocese, giving retreats and spiritual direction. Heartfelt thanks to Martha D’Ulisse, Pat St. Amand, Jessie May Sheehan and all of her friends for their care and service. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Friday, June 17, 2016 from 2 pm until 5 pm. Funeral mass to be celebrated at Precious Blood Cathedral on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 10 am. Rev. Hamish Currie officiating. Reception to follow at Arthur Funeral Home.
