FASCINA, Alberto

Alberto passed away peacefully at his home, on Friday, March 25, 2016. He was in his 87th year. Born in Sicily. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Maria. Dad will be lovingly remembered by his children Carmelina (Johnny) Fascina-Purificati, Giuseppe (Theresa) and Liana (Tim) Landriault. Alberto was predeceased by his daughters Rosanna (Patrick) Fascina-Bourgault and his infant daughter Carmelina. Adored Nonno of Marina, Melanie, Albert, Thomas, Julia, Ashlee (Mitch), Tiana, Christina, Juan, Patricia and Alexander. Great Nonno of Leland and Faith. Caring brother of Pietro (Betty), Giovanni (late Concetta) and Lidia Fascina-Romano. Predeceased by his other 6 siblings and all his in laws. Uncle, great uncle and friend to many. Alberto was also a very well respected Nonno to many others who he welcomed with open arms at all times. Family and Friends may call at O’Sullivan Funeral Home and Cremation Centre (corner of Cathcart and St. James St) on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm and on Thursday, March 31, 2016 from 10:00am to 10:30am. Funeral mass to be celebrated at St. Gregory’s Church (71 Estelle St) on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at 11:00am with Father Alex Sauruanthadathil officiating. Cremation and inturnment to follow at a later date. The family would like to send special thanks to the staff of WeCare and everyone that was involved in Alberto’s medical care during his final days.
