It is with Heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of James Hamish Fraser, at the Sault Area Hospital, surrounded by his family at the age of 89.
Devoted husband to Norma for 68 years. Father of William (Nancy), James Jr. and Thomas (Cathy). Proud grandfather of Justine and Jacob, (Courtny) and great grandfather of Francesco, Callum and Hudson.
James was the son of the late Thomas and Norma Fraser. Brother of the late Catherine (late Calum), late Marlene (late Phillip), late Isabel (late Ian), his brother William (Shona) and Sandra. Brother-in-law to Audrey Clark (late David). Uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Our Dad lived his life to the fullest. Dad was one of those guys that worked hard and played harder. He was very well known and respected in the auto industry for over 40 years. He especially enjoyed going to his camp at Island Lake and hanging out with his extended lake family, exchanging laughs and old stories over drinks, while listening to his bag pipe music.
We would like to thank Dr. Ludgate, Dr. Meligranne, Dr. Jenkins, Dr. Castellani, Sr. Sharp and the Emergency and 3rd floor nurses for their care and compassion.
At Dad’s request, there will be no funeral service. Cremation has taken place.
