Dear family and friends,
As you know, it has been six months since Marie’s untimely death. And, we are truly grateful for everyone’s concern and compassion during these very sad months. Your calls, cards and donations are sincerely appreciated. Regretfully, the times have been incredibly difficult for all of us due to COVID-19. Thus, Marie’s funeral service has not yet occurred. But please do not be alarmed as Marie has been cremated per her wishes and she has been by Jim’s side ever since! After months of anguish, we recently decided to delay Marie’s Funeral Mass until Saturday, April 17, 2021. It will be held at Our Lady of the Scapular Church in Niagara Falls, ON. Marie’s services will now occur on the anniversary of her death which makes it a very special occasion for our family. Further details will be announced closer to the date. Please ‘save this date' on your calendar, as we would be truly honoured to have your presence at her service. Services in Niagara Falls will be followed by a Celebration of Life in Sault Ste. Marie, ON. Further details about the Sault event will be announced in the Spring. Of course, both plans may be impacted by circumstances beyond our control. Thank you for your understanding in these extremely challenging circumstances. Hopefully, these plans will not be impacted by COVID-19. We wish to provide you with an opportunity to say your goodbyes and sincerely regret that this could not happen sooner. Saddened as we are by Marie’s passing, our hearts are lifted in gratitude for the richness she has brought to our lives! May she forever rest in peace, in the arms of the Lord.
