Passed away at ARCH Hospice on Tuesday May 22, 2018 in her 71st year. Born in Sault Ste. Marie on August 7, 1946. Survived by her life partner and loving friend, Maurice. Lana will be loving remembered by her son, Jeff (Robin Shamas). Cherished grandmother to her grandson, Aiden. Daughter of Mary and the late Harvey. Sister to the late Franky, aunt to Rodney, and cousins to many including Irma Giovanatti-Bre and Erma Lanoce. Lana loved to walk the Lake hill and ‘too much’ was never enough when it came to spending time with her grandson Aiden. She had special friendships with many in the community and wanted to say, ‘thank you’ and ‘bye’ to everyone who were so helpful and supportive throughout her life. Special ‘thank you’ to Malcolm and her neighbours the Rouleau family. She will miss the food from her favourite restaurants Giovanni’s and Fratelli’s. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at the Sault Area Hospital, especially those on 3C, Dr. Spadafora, Dr. Apostle, Dr. Korbo and everyone at ARCH. In keeping with Lana’s wishes, a private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to ARCH.
