With treasured memories and sadness, our family wishes to announce the passing of our beloved mother on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Algoma Residential Community Hospice (ARCH).  Best friend of Bill Eaton. Dearly loved mother of Bill (late Pat), Randy (Rose), and Debbie Gillespie. Cherished Nan of Krysta (Danan) and Kelly. Proud Great Nan of Henry. Predeceased by her parents George and Beatrice Thorkilson. Dear sister of Garth (Evelyne), late Ruth (late Bob), Marjorie (Jack), and Charlie (Chandra). Cherished aunt of many nieces and nephews. Her love and spirit will live on forever with her family and friends in Canada and Norway. A private service was held at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Thursday, April 6, 2017. Mrs. Helen Smith officiated. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Canadian Hearing Society or to ARCH would be greatly appreciated.
