Our darling Marie left us to join her beloved siblings in heaven.
Soulmate and best friend of David "Poppy". Cherished mother of Ken (Patti), Cheryl Turpin (Joe) and Stephen. Devoted Grandma of Jamie (Dave), Joey (Kendra), Kenny John, Stephanie and Jessie (Jeff). Adoring GG to the three musketeers - Mackenzie, Ben and Barrett. Survived by her siblings Jack (late Helen), Sheila Longstreet (late John) and Bonnie Shuttleworth (Bill). She is now reunited with open arms by her siblings Goldwin (Gloria) and Laura Maaker (late Ken). She will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, sisters-in-laws, brothers-in-law and friends.
Grandma enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends. She loved to reminisce and tell stories. She never missed a party, square dance or any family get-togethers. Her pride and joy had been and will always be her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She never missed a chance to speak about their amazing accomplishments or just brag about how much happiness they brought her.
Her love was like no other, especially with the love of her life. If you saw Grandma out and about, Poppy was always right beside her. The love they shared for the last 71+ years was one that could only be dreamt of. To know love is to see Dave and Marie together.
We would like to thank all of the hospital staff in the emergency department, especially Dr. Garniss and his amazing team of nurses that showed so much care and compassion in her final moments. A big thank you to Grandma's amazing health team. But the biggest thank you goes to Dr. Bignell and his team, you were able to give us so many extra years because of your dedication to her.
