Marie peacefully passed away at home, surrounded by her loving and supportive family, at the age of 91. She is reunited with her husband Percy and her grandson Jean Claude Roy. Saintly mother of Ron, Patricia Dewar, Gail Bissiallon (late Frank), Linda Noel (Denis), Kathy Heffern (George St. Jules), Ross (Chantal), and Bill (Sue Benoit). Special stepmother to the late Una Parson. Adored Grandma of 25 and great grandma of 43. Dear sister of Betty Connley (late Neil). Fondly remembered by her extended family.
Marie enjoyed walking well into her 80’s where she would meet and greet new people. Her door was always open. She loved John Wayne who was her idol. She liked collecting his memorabilia. She was non judgemental and very accepting of people. Marie was the family matriarch and the rock of our family, we will miss everything about our mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
The family wishes to thank Bayshore nurses and Care Partners, as well as her PSW’s Sam and Sheldon for the exceptional care given to our mother. A special thank you to Casey, John and Felicity for taking such good care of our mother and their grandmother.
A celebration of Marie’s life will be held at a later date.
