Passed away peacefully at home on Monday, May 5, 2025 at the age of 67. Loved by his brothers Henry (Catherine) and David (Ruth).
John lived his life taking the path less followed, from his childhood love of art and classical music to his joy exploring the wonders of Lake Superior hiking and paddling his kayak. He was a dreamer, always striving to realize the way things should be as opposed to the way they are. When his life took a tragic turn, John accepted his challenges with no complaints and dealt with whatever was thrown at him with grace and fortitude. He will be sorely missed.
Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758) on Friday, May 9, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service in the Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
