Peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on June 15, 2025, (in true Wayne Hudson fashion, on Father’s Day) at the age of 69…but not before he put up a hell of a fight.

Soulmate, best friend and fiancé of Dina Bernabucci.  Proud father of Erica (Greg) Seyler and Jennifer (Waylon) Bougie. Papa of Jordan and Bree.

Predeceased by his parents Noreen and Elmer Hudson. Brother of Wendy (Billy) Maluorno, Brian (Maureen) and the late Vicky (late Bob) Allard. Wayne will be remembered by Felicia (late Mauro) Bernabucci Marco (Tammy) Bernabucci, his best friends Brian Meyers and Johnny Robinson and many nieces and nephews.

He will be missed by his favourite co-pilot Roscoe who was always riding shotgun.

Wayne was known for organizing numerous ATV Charity Runs and events raising money for several local foundations that were near and dear to his heart.

He was also known to many as the plow guy in the red truck, usually with a cigarette and a Red Bull.  Wayne was also the man behind “the second-best fish n’ chips in town”. He sure could cook.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Tracy’s Dream as they were instrumental throughout Wayne’s journey. Payable by cheque.

The family would like to sincerely thank Susan Goodwin for her help and support, Lisa from Bayshore, Dr. Febbraro and the Algoma District Cancer Program nurses, the Sault Ste. Marie Paramedics, 3A Surgical Unit at the Sault Area Hospital, Dr. Culina, Dr. Gonzales, Dr. Asai from Health Sciences North, Dr. Taylor, Dr. Buehner, the Palliative Care Team and neighbors, Tom, Dean and Alfred.
