It is with great sadness that the family of Nelle announces her peaceful passing, in the arms of her loving daughters and surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, March 17, 2016 in her 90th year. She was a remarkable woman of strength and strong faith. Our mom was very hard working and had an overflowing heart of love and kindness. She touched many people’s lives and was a hero to her family. From her we learned to have a strong work ethic and to appreciate the importance of family. She is now reunited with the love of her life, our dad and her daughter. Nellie was the beloved daughter of the late Lena and Wasyl Perepelytz, and wife of the late Alfred Humphries. She was the devoted mother of the late Dianna Sagle, Donna Honsberger (Lindsay), Cathy Ann Humphries, and Caron Humphries (Bill). A cherished Baba to her five sweethearts; Amanda (Steve), Raili (Jason), Ashleigh, Brittany and Matthew (Sammi) and a special Babaloo to her great grandson, Alexander. Sister of Helen Kenopic (late Andy), Anne Nino (late Ralph), Doreen Toyne (William), late Mike Perepelytz (Ann), late Mary Scali (late Louis), late Shirley Anne Grosso (Jerry). Sister-in-law to Shirley Richards (Sheldon), Kathy Humphries (late Wally), late Edward (late Mary), late Leonard (late Margaret), late Maurice (Marita), and late Joyce Cyr (late Rene). Special aunt to many nieces and nephews, and dear friend to many. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Monday, March 21, 2016 from 6 until 9 pm. Funeral mass celebrated from St. Jerome’s Catholic Church on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at 10 am. Rev. Paul Conway officiating. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial contributions to Algoma Residential Community Hospice (ARCH) or the Sault Area Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family. When we lose a loved one here on earth, we gain an angel in heaven that watches over us. We will take comfort in knowing that mom is now an angel. Even though mom has departed from this earth she will never truly leave, for she is still alive in our hearts and minds, through us, she will live on and will always be our sunshine.
