It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother Norma Humphries on February 2nd, 2021, at the age of 86 years. She is now reunited with her loving husband of 60 years, Conrad.
Forever cherished by her children Connie McDougal (Austin), Cathy Donnell, Marty Humphries (late Sherri) and Brent Humphries (Tina). Norma’s grandchildren Joey, Jeffrey, Bryan, Liam, Marley, and Alicia treasure wonderful memories of special time spent with grandma such as baking, gardening, fishing, and playing board games.
Survived by her siblings, Leona Evoy, Jerry Halcrow (Winnona) and sister-in-law Melba Halcrow. Predeceased by Myrna Booth (Reg), Don Halcrow, Bill Halcrow (Jeanette) and Ben Evoy.
The family extends a special thank you to Aunt Leona for faithfully visiting mom even when she had great difficulty communicating and, Peggy Hannah for her supportive visits with mom.
Mom had a contagious smile that could light up any room. She had a flair for gardening and was proud of her beautiful flower beds at camp on Echo lake as well as at home. She also loved to create beautiful, crocheted blankets which many family members were able to enjoy. After dad retired, he and mom took vacations to Dominican Republic, California, and Arizona.
The family would like to thank the staff on 2nd Floor Cedar Grove, F.J. Davey Home for their kind, compassionate care provided to mom for the past two years.
As per mom’s wishes, cremation has taken place and her ashes will be placed alongside Dad’s at Maple Leaf cemetery. There will be a family service held at a later date. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Association or Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to Damignani Burial, Cremation & Transfer Service, 215 St. James St, 705-759-8456.
