Over the years, he worked on several notable projects, including the Montreal River Dam, the International Bridge, and the General Hospital.

During a return visit to Grimaldi in 1959, he met the love of his life Fenice, they married on March 20th, 1960, and together returned to Canada and settled in Sault Ste Marie, where they started their family.

Mike then began a long career at Algoma Steel in the Masonry department, where he dedicated his time until retirement.

Retirement was just the beginning of a new chapter for Mike, as he fulfilled his dream of owning a hobby farm. He moved his family to the farm, where he spent countless hours tending to his garden, raising goats, and chickens. This hobby brought him immense joy and fulfillment, and he continued to enjoy it well into his 93rd year.
