Donna has begun her spiritual journey and will be greeted by her dad Marvin, brothers Rick and Erwin as well as many relatives and friends. Life partner of Darren Assiniwe. Mother of Chantelle Assiniwe (Jonathan), Vania Assiniwe (Terrance), Honey Assiniwe and Juanita Assiniwe. Grandmother of Jonah Southwind, Charlotte, Elizabeth, Daisy, Jonathan Jr., Mirra Assiniwe and Mayla Assiniwe. Daughter of Rita Jacobs. Sister to Timothy Ritchie, Roger Jacobs, Kimberly Toulouse (Ralph), Peter Jacobs and Jon Jacobs (Kerri). Sister-in-law of Trudy Jacobs, June Assiniwe, Thomas Assiniwe, Ronald Baa and Juanita Baa. Godmother to Brock Owl. Aunty to many nieces and nephews. Fondly remembered by many cousins and friends. Forever missed by her furbaby Moomoo.
Donna enjoyed writing poetry and reading books. Darren will miss cooking for Donna and their walks at camp on the beach searching for rocks and driftwood. We will forever miss her laugh and her smile, and the house will seem quiet without her proudly singing all her little tunes.
Family and friends are invited to visit at 2008 River Crescent, Sagamok on Monday, June 2, 2025, between 7pm to 9pm. A second visitation will begin at 11am on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at the New Community Hall, 5507 Star Road, Sagamok. A funeral service will be held at 11am on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at The New Community Hall, 5507 Star Road in Sagamok. Interment at the Old Cemetery. Feast to follow.
