May 17, 1953 – June 15, 2020
We regret to announce the sudden but graceful passing of Bea, surrounded by her loving family, age 67. Bea will be greatly and forever missed by her beloved husband of 46 years, Ross. Loved and cherished mother of Ross Jr. (Trina). Grandmama of Caelen. Special Aunt of Paula and Joe. Sister of Romeo Francoeur, Cecile Wilson (Eugene), Don Francoeur (the late Sheila), Palma Francoeur (Lorraine), Roy Francoeur (Fran), Frank Francoeur (Donna), Aline Thibault and Fred Francoeur (Linda). Special daughter in law of Beatrice Jensen Sr. (the late Hans). Sister in law of Jerry Jensen (Cathy) and David Jensen. Predeceased by her parents Amable and Cecile Francoeur, her brothers Joe, Alexandre (the late Barb) and Alexis. Will be lovingly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and her best friends.
Bea’s many years as a teacher at St. Joseph in Blind River left a mark on each and every child she taught. She was supportive of and very active in her community. She was involved with numerous organizations including NSHN-Blind River Foundation/Auxiliary/Board member, Rotary, Golden Birches Terrace Council, Union Representative for AEFO, Paroisse Ste-Famille church committee member, canvasser for Heart and Stroke Foundation, Cancer Foundation and Kidney Foundation. Her greatest love and passion was organizing the Blind River Senior Games. Bea was available and always “just a phone call away”. To her family she was a great cook and baker and she looked forward to every family event. Her devotion to her family as well as helping others was monumental and she seemingly never grew tired of giving of herself. She will always be loved and deeply missed.
The family wishes to thank the EMT’s, the staff at SAH-ICU and the step-down unit, with a special thank you to her sister Aline for being there during Bea’s last days.
Donations to Golden Birches Terrace Residents’ Council Blind River would be greatly appreciated by the family.
A celebration of Bea’s life will be announced and held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Menard Funeral Home.
