It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our father, John Jefferson, one day after his 87th birthday.  Reunited with his loving wife, Norma (2000). Loved and respected by his children Cameron (Jeannine), Ian (Sarah) and Cathy Rogozynski (Dave).  Proud Grandfather of Alexandra and Nicole Jefferson, Samuelle Jefferson, and Caitlyn, Megan and Madison Rogozynski.  He will also be remembered by Devin and Talyn Vince. Dear brother and brother in law of Mary Chessell (Bill), Ruth Laing, Olive Riehl, Ina Laidlaw (Bill), Barbara Jefferson, Janet Findlay, and Don Hall (Vivian).  Predeceased by his parents John and Nettie Jefferson, parents in law Reuben and Mabel Hall, and siblings Laura LaForge (Charles), Norman Jefferson, Eva Laing (Gordon), Margaret Cleland (Bruce), and in laws Don Riehl, Bob Laing, Judy Hall and Tom Hall, Reg Wonnacott, and Stan Findlay.  Uncle John (Jack) will be missed by many nieces and nephews.  He will be fondly remembered by his many friends and colleagues. John was a respected educator within the Algoma District School Board and was proud of his 18 years as Principal at East View Public School.  He was a tireless volunteer with Soo Curlers, Christmas Cheer, and was instrumental in the early years of the Northern Heights Soccer Club.  The family would like to thank the staff of both Collegiate Heights and Extendicare Maple View “Twin Lakes” for their care and compassion over the years. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home and Cremation Centre on Sunday, January 31st, 2016 from 6pm-9pm. Funeral Service on Monday, February 1, 2016 at 10 am.
