Our Mom and Dad left this world just 23 days apart from each other.

Their love story is one of dedication, adoration and service to one another. Mom and Dad were so connected and everyone could see how much they were in love. They still held hands and were sweetly affectionate after 58 years of marriage.  Mom and Dad were the epitome of what it is to put family first and time all together meant everything to them. We’ll always cherish and appreciate the effort they made to do activities as a family.

Mom taught us how to do all things around the household. She was amazing in the kitchen, dedicated to making delicious dishes and desserts from scratch for our family.  Mom also taught us how to seize the moment and find joy in the little things! Nature fed her soul and brought her so much joy. She greeted everyone with her radiant smile and open arms.  Mom was warm, affectionate, playful and silly.

Dad was the best! He made his family the priority of his life.  Dad always had a project of some sort going on and took the time to teach us how to use tools and our imagination to solve problems. Having time with us meant the world to him.  Dad loved to tell stories and was friendly to everyone.  He was the example of what living with integrity means and it was foundational in everything he did. Dad was the biggest trooper throughout his illness and embodied resilience and hope to the fullest.

We’ll feel you in the sunrises and sunsets, the moonlight, the stars and warmth of the sun.

We’ll hear you in the waves, in laughter and a bird’s song.

We’ll see you in a beautiful garden, the wildflowers and changing colours of the leaves.

We’ll smile and think of you when eating ice cream, blueberry pie, chocolate almonds and quiche, while playing cards, having party time and at the camp.

We are forever grateful for your gifts of support, laughter, your time, silliness, dedication and love.

As per their wishes, there is no funeral or official celebration of life.  We invite you to celebrate them in your own way in how you knew them. Donations can be made on their behalf to Habitat for Humanity or EcoJustice.
