Peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital on Friday, March 10, 2017 at the age of 85. Beloved husband of Nancy, loving father of Steven (Marianne) and Chris (Cynthia). Proud grandfather of Andrew and Matthew. Dear brother of Wayne (Marilyn), Joel (Paulette) and Cheryl Morin (Robert). Larry was predeceased by his sisters, Jerry Morin (Robert) and Arline Groh (William). Son of the late Lawrence and Louise (nee Beaupre). Brother in law of Doreen Guerriero (Jim), Arnold Willoughby (Virgina), Norma Martin (late Robert), and Reg Willoughby (late Krystyna). Remembered by his many nieces and nephews.
Larry devoted his life in service to others. He was a proud Korean War Veteran, and a 60 year member of the Royal Canadian Legion, serving in many capacities as an active volunteer for both organizations for many years. Larry spent many years mentoring the youth of the Soo as a scout leader in the 60's and 70's. Larry spent 27 years working for the PUC, retiring in 1993.
Friends are invited to visit at the Arthur Funeral Home on Wednesday March 15, 2017 from 6PM – 8PM. Funeral Mass to be celebrated from Our Lady of Good Counsel Church on Thursday March 16, 2017 at 11AM. Rev. Paul Conway officiating. Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 25, the Sault Area Hospital Foundation or a Charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
