It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rolland ‘Rolly’ Jubinville suddenly at his home on Monday, February 4, 2025.
Forever loved by his family he leaves behind his wife Barb (née Morley) of 63 years, daughter Sandy Semczyszyn (Rob), and grandchildren Travis (Frank Meraglia), Jessica and Jonathan. He is predeceased by his son Jerry Jubinville and his brother Claude. He will be missed by his family from his birthplace of Jolliette, Quebec.
Rolly spent most of his life enjoying his work in the communications and electronic field and had a long career bringing the joy of television and radio to many people.
In his retirement, he enjoyed many years as a snowbird travelling with his wife to Florida and leaving the snow behind. Oh, how we remember his excitement when it was time to head south for the winter.
Rolly was a radio enthusiast as well as a licensed ham radio operator of 50 years (VE3RJ). This love contributed to his grandson Travis Semczyszyn to also become a licensed ham radio operator. Rolly will be missed by his many friends in that family.
Special mention of the special bond he had with his wonderful daughter Sandy and Grandson Travis who was inspired at an early age by his grandfather's inquisitive mind and playful nature. This magical bond is still an inspiration today.
We Love you Dad/Grandpa and will miss you always.
Thank you to the first responders and caring people at the Sault area Hospital Emergency Department especially Cory for his caring support and help.
Burial will take place at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation (payable online or by cheque).
