KAHTAVA, Teuvo "Tev" Uolevi

July 9, 1932 - April 2, 2016 Warner Robins, GA- Teuvo "Tev" Uolevi Kahtava, 84 passed away on April 2, 2016. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday April 6, 2016 at 7:00PM at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be private. Visitation will be held immediately after service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Elberta Health Care Activities Dept, 419 Elberta Rd, Warner Robins, GA. 31093. He was born July 9, 1932 in Sault Ste, Marie, Ontario Canada to the late Simo and Hanna Kahtava. He retired from Algoma Steel Company. Tev was an ordained Elder of The Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints since 1966. He served as Pastor of the Sault Ste. Marie Michigan congregation for many years. Tev also served as District President for several years. He served in various other district church offices. Mr. Kahtava served as a scout leader in the Canadian and American Boy Scout organization as well as serving in the Canadian Reserves for two years. . He is preceded in death by one brother, Jouko Kahtava; one sister, Terry Hurley. Mr Kahtava is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Janet Lee Kahtava, Warner Robins; son, Kevin (Jayne) Kahtava, daughter, Dianne Kahtava; son, Allen (Sue) Johnson; granddaughter, Heather Park; grandson, Joshua Park; grandson, Travis Kahtava; granddaughter, Samantha Park; grandson. Justin Kahtava; one sister, Barbara (Tony) DeByl; two brothers Jorma (Joyce) Kahtava; Alec (Sharon) Kahtava; sister-in-law, Jane Kahtava. A celebration of life ceremony will be held at a later date in Sault Ste.
