William will be greatly missed by his friends Rona, Jim, Ann, Isaiah, Crystal, Connor and Carter. Will has been a best friend to three loving Chihuahuas over the years, Sandy, Princess and Pepper, who gave him great pleasure and companionship. Will had many passions in his life including stained glass, photography, judo, working out with cross-fit and rowing, always living a healthy life. He loved the outdoors, the beauty of our northern forest and spent as much time as he could at his property near Thessalon. He was secretary of the Thessalon Rod and Gun Club, another activity he so enjoyed. Will’s careers have taken him down different roads, first by obtaining his Doctorate in Insect Virology at prestigious Oxford University, Oxford, UK after which he worked as a scientist for the Federal Government in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. His second degree was in Nursing from Lake Superior State University in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. He was employed by the Michigan Department of Corrections at the Kinross Correctional Facility as a prison nurse. At Will’s request there will be no funeral service. Cremation has taken place and the interment will be held in the spring at Greenwood Cemetery. Donations to ARCH or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
