ROBERTS, Kathleen BIO

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Kay (Kent) Roberts celebrates her life and mourns her passing on Jan 27th at the Sault Area Hospital at the age of 94. Kay was a wonderful woman who touched many lives. She was a loving wife of Ed Roberts and the late Jack Kent, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She will be greatly missed by her children: Joan Hill (Bert), the late Bill Kent (Diana), Richard Kent (Aleen), Sarah Gibson (late Bill), Robert Kent (Brenda), Graham Kent (Sherrie), Jayne Harris (John Vasconcelos), and John Kent (Barbara), as well as her 17 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren, and by her step-children: Larry Roberts  (Sylvia), Donna Gill (Randy), Beverley Lutes  (Brian), and John Roberts (Edith), along with 9 step-grandchildren, and 18 step-great-grandchildren. Dear sister of the late Helena, late Bud, late Alyson, late Phylis, Merle and Danny. Kay loved her family, and was never more at home than when her children and grandchildren were gathered around her. She made each person in her life feel loved and highly valued. She loved to cook and bake, and her family never missed an opportunity to gather around her table for one of her homemade pies or a slice of fresh from the oven bread. She always looked for an adventure and humor in every situation, and we will miss her laughter. She will be dearly missed by her family, but we remember that she will always be with us, in our memories, in our hearts, and in everything that she taught us. We look forward to the day that we will be reunited with her once again. Friends are invited to visit at the Free Methodist Church, St. Joseph Island on Thursday, February 2, 2017 from 11 am until 3 pm. Funeral service to follow at 3 pm. Mr. Lane Eddy officiating. Thank you to the Dr. Lupien and staff of St. Joseph Island medical center and the SAH for your loving care and support through this difficult time. Memorial contributions to the NSHN – Richards Landing Matthews Memorial Site would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre (492 Wellington St. East, 705-759-2522). Expressions of sympathy may be made at www.arthurfuneralhome.com.
