Passed away peacefully at Algoma Residential Community Hospice with her family by her side.
She will be sadly missed by her husband Gerry of sixty four years, her daughter Lauran (Bill), son Michael (Cathy) and granddaughter Olivia.
Marlene was a wonderful, gracious human being. She was loved by many and she was the most welcoming person on this Earth. All were welcomed in her home and cottage. She was a wonderful host and a deeply caring person who loved to share. Marlene was a passionate and dedicated pediatric nurse. She loved ice skating, gardening and card games. She could always beat you in a game of cribbage. Marlene would take her friends kayaking which she loved to do.
The last many months were difficult for her and there were many caregivers helping in the home which she greatly appreciated. The family will always be grateful for the palliative care she received at the hospital and at ARCH.
