KONKA, Allan

Passed away after a brief illness at the Sault Area Hospital on Thursday, June 2, 2016, at the age of 85. Beloved husband and best friend of Jean for 34 years. Son of the late John and Olga Konka. Dear brother of Tom (late Anja). Brother-in-law of John Tripp (Donna) of Fenelon Falls, Allan Tripp of Aurora, Roy Tripp of Calgary and the late Bruce Tripp (Merna) of Milton. Remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Sadly missed by his furry friend Annie. Allan spent many happy years as a dedicated mechanic with the Ministry of Natural Resources. Allan was proud to call St. Joseph Island his home for many years. A celebration of Allan’s life will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2016 from 2 until 4 pm at the Hilton Beach Community Hall (3050 Hilton Rd, Hilton Beach, ON). Memorial contributions to Matthew’s Memorial Hospital Auxiliary or the Ontario Finnish Rest Home Association (OFRA) would be appreciated by the family.
