It is with sorrow that we announce the passing of Georgette Larose on Tuesday, Dec. 24 at the age of 87.

She is now reunited with her beloved husband Andre (Andy) Larose.  Devoted mother of Yves (Adele), Chantal (Marty).

Daughter of the late Leonard and Rosalie Richard.  Sister to late Herve, late Pierette (late Fernand), late Solange (late Jean-Louise), late Jean Marie, Charles (Suzanne), late Nicole (Mike), late Lucille (Claude), Richard and Pierre.  Daughter in law of the late Roger and Donalda (nee Duguay).  Sister-in-law to the late Roland (Helene), late Maurice (Louise), Annette Proulx (late Fernard), Gerald (Diane), and the late Marcel (late Gertrude).  Loving remembered by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Georgette was a loving mom who lived her life to her fullest.  She enjoyed knitting (2 drawer full of socks for Yves and dishcloths for the girls), sewing, reading and drives to the cottage.  At 84 she decided it was time to sell her home and move to an apartment where she said that she never thought she would be starting a new life at this age and had big smile and a sparkle in her eyes.  She enjoyed her move and made many new friends.  She especially looked forward to her Friday lunch dates with Iris, where their goal was to go to every restaurant in town for lunch.

Family and friends are invited to O’Sullivan Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 7, 2024, from 1 p.m. until the time of the service in the chapel at 2 p.m. with Father Jeff Shannon officiating.

The family would like to thank the wonderful and supportive staff at the Sault Area Hospital, the angels at ARCH Bay Shore Nurses and Home Care and Community Care Support Services North East for the exceptional care she received. Also, many thanks to the residents from St Ann’s for the drop off of food and support when mom was getting tired.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Sault Area Hospital Foundation, ARCH Hospice or Tracy’s Dream to help other cancer patients on their journey.

Gone but never forgotten, rest in peace mom.  Hugs
