LePAGE, Earl Omer

(January 13, 1920 – November 15, 2016) - Passed away peacefully with his family at his side at the North Shore Health Network, Blind River at the age of 96.  Beloved husband of The Late Marjory LePage ( nee Berry ).  Dear father of Marcia Tonelli ( Barry ), Melva Richards ( Ivan ).  Loving Grandfather of Tammy Tonelli ( Phil Cook ), Scott Richards ( Suzanne ), Jody McLean ( Steve ), Claudette Richards ( Herman ).   Special Great Grandpa to Damian Lemieux ( Shanda ), Brittany Varlow ( Tyler ) and Summer Cook.   Special Big Papa to Tyler Schisler ( Alexis ), Nicholas and Olivia Richards and The Late Katie Richards.  Great Big Papa to Lyncoln Dunn and Lorelei Schisler.  Dear brother of Margaret Ralph ( Keith ), and the late Claire LePage ( Sarah ).  Special Brother-in-law to Walter Berry Jr ( late Dorothy ), Lou Berry ( late Bailey ) and The Late Audrey Berry.  Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.  Special friend to Carl Kepler and Dave Schuiling.  Born on January 13, 1920 to Joseph and Alice LePage in Kynoch, Ontario, he lived on the family farm until he was called to serve his country on April 17, 1941.  He served his country in Continental Europe from 1942 until being wounded and later discharged on August 22, 1945.   Omer married Marjory Berry on December 3, 1952 and raised his daughters in Iron Bridge, Ontario.  Omer was an avid fisherman and hunter who enjoyed the outdoors into his 80s.  Friends may call at the Beggs Funeral Home, Thessalon on Friday November 18, 2016 from 7 to 9pm.  Funeral service in the chapel on Saturday November 19, 2016 at 10am followed by interment in Bellingham Cemetery, with military salute.  Donations to the North Shore Health Network, Blind River gratefully accepted.  www.beggsfh.com
