With great love, the family announces the peaceful passing of Jamie Mahler on May 29, 2025, following a private battle with cancer.
Beloved son of Norbert and Elizabeth Mahler. Cherished big brother of Catherine Willet, Aaron (late), Renas, and Janet Mahler. Caring uncle of Heidi and Nora Willet. Jamie had a very special and lifelong attachment to his late grandparents, Edison and Geraldine Pinder, and his late great aunt, Willena Rosley (late Gordon). Nephew to the late Mavis Goodman (late Hugh) of British Columbia, and the late Uncle Jack Pinder (late Kay) of New Brunswick, and many cousins.
Jamie (Melanie) was the proud father of Christian and Rhys and Gramps to Hudson and Archer.
Jamie graduated high school at Bawating C&VS and went on to earn a degree from the University of Windsor. Later, he graduated from teacher's college at Nippissing University. He found joy in helping youth, teaching, and coaching athletics.
Special thank you to Idis for the flowers you see at the graveside.

Let love carry us away
Drift away to that special place
Let love carry us away
Where love still shines at the end of the day
You know it's true
You're a shooting star
Light up the night with your glowing heart
Your smile so bright
Light up the dark
Don't you know we’ll still feel the same way tomorrow..
Lyrics of Tim Tyler (brother in law)
“He was ours and we loved him so.”
