We regret to announce the passing of Sandy at Extendicare Maple View on his 91st birthday, Sunday, June 18, 2017. Loving husband of Muriel (nee Hutchings) and father of Allison. Predeceased by his parents Margaret and George Marr and his brother Gordon (Jean). Survived by his brother Ian (late Eleanor). Brother-in-law of the late Aileen Dykes (John), the late Bill Hutchings (late Helen) and Lois Todd (Larry). Loving uncle of many nieces and nephews. Sandy and Muriel moved to Sault Ste. Marie after getting married in 1958. He assumed the position of Chief Pharmacist at the Plummer Memorial Hospital until retiring in 1986. In his free time Sandy enjoyed many hobbies and interests including woodworking, golfing, curling, hunting and in his younger years flying small aircraft. Friends may visit at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Thursday, June 22, 2017 from 11 am until 12:30 pm. Memorial service to follow in the chapel at 1 pm. Mrs. Helen Smith officiating.
