MATHESON, Verna Eileen

After a long illness with her family by her side, Verna passed away at the Lady Dunn Health Centre, Wawa on Tuesday December 27, 2016 at the age of 82 years. Beloved wife of John for 47 years. Proud mother of Patty (Brian), Laurie (Rick), late Jimmy, Karen (Nelson), Kathy (Richard), Johnny (Natalie) and Billy. Loving grandmother of 16 and 21 great grandchildren. Verna was predeceased by 2 grandchildren. Dear sister of Walter Steinburg, late Ella Williams (late Ross), late Alfred Steinburg, late Doreen McClelland (late Allan), late Delmar Steinburg (Donalda), late George Steinburg (late Donna), late Herbert Steinburg (Darlene) and the late Jean McMacken (late Pat). Verna will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. A private family memorial service will be held at the P.M. Gilmartin Funeral Home (140 Churchill Avenue, Wawa, 1-800-439-4938).
