It is with sorrow that the family announce the passing of Carol Matsen of Elliot Lake on December 29, 2016 at the Algoma Residential Hospice in Sault Ste. Marie, ON. Loving mother of Sandra McMillan (Bill) of North Bay, Wayne Gareau (Edna) of Chelmsford and Charlotte Matsen (Scott) of Sault Ste. Marie. Dear grandmother to Crystal, Vicky, Jason, George, Kevina, Larrissa and great grandmother to Maddison, Mia, Everett, Tyler, Sage, Oakley, Oddessey and Nora-Jane. Also survived by her companion Toby, numerous siblings, nephews and nieces. The family will receive friends at the Elliot Lake Funeral Chapel and Cremation Centre on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 from 12:00 – 1:30 p.m. and the service will begin at 2:00 p.m. from Our Lady Of Fatima Parish in Elliot Lake, Father Eric Pannike officiating. Interment in Woodlands Cemetery, Elliot Lake. Memorial contributions to the Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
