Peacefully and comfortably at ARCH with her family by her side. Loving wife of Larry Mauro for 56 years. Carol will be missed by her 3 sons, whom she provided the perfect childhood and family life to: Paul (Jody) Mauro, Derek Mauro and Joel (Kelly) Mauro. She was the ultimate mother who treated anyone who walked through the door like family and made Christmas, birthdays and any holiday so special. Her 3 precious granddaughters who took after her so much; Megan, Paige and Madeline will always remember her. Predeceased by her parents Carl and Winifred Guffin. Sister and Best Friend of Dianne Quinn (Brian). Daughter in law of the late Trent and Beatrice Mauro. The family would like to give many thanks to the nurses at SAH (3B) for being so caring, kind and respectful to her. Thank you to the nurses at ARCH for the last seven peaceful hours of her life and thank you to Dr Buehner. A very special thank you to her sister Dianne, best friend Judy Cornacchi, and Sarah Solomon who nursed her and made her comfortable in her last days at home as she wished. Also thank you to her closest friends and family for their thoughts and prayers through visits and phone calls. As per Carol’s wishes, cremation will take place and there will be no visitation or services. Memorial donations may be made to ARCH (payable by cheque or online).
