McKINNON, Elisabeth Mabel (Bette) Vine

(October 1, 1929 – June 21, 2016) - Peacefully at Algoma Manor, Thessalon on Tuesday June 21, 2016.  Bette McKinnon in her 87th year, beloved wife of the late Donald McKinnon ( May 2, 2011 ).  Loving mother of Roddie ( Erma ), Janet Blake ( Tom ), Blair ( Sharon ), Joanne Prestedge ( Ray ) and Alison Seymour ( Robert ).  Special Grandma to Dawn Allard ( Guy ), Brent McMillan ( Megan ) and Andrew Seymour and Great Grandmother to Gwen, Max and Anne Allard and Avery and Jack McMillan.  Dear daughter of the late Bethel and Myrtle Vine.  Dear sister of Colleen Seabrook ( late Lorne), Barbara King( Jack ), Leslie Vine ( Gayle Rutledge ), Lola King ( Grant and the late Sid MacFarlane ) and the late Bud ( Shirley and the late Lillian ), Jerry ( Effie ) and Glenna Weir ( Lionel ).  Predeceased by several brothers and sisters-in-law.  Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.  Friends may call at the Beggs Funeral Home, Thessalon Ontario on Sunday June 26, 2016 from 6:30pm to 9pm.  Funeral service in the chapel on Monday June 27, 2016 at 11 o’clock with Mrs Helen Smith officiating.  Interment in Pine Grove Cemetery.  Reception will follow at the Oddfellows Hall, Main Street, Thessalon.  Donations to the Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation gratefully accepted.  www.beggsfh.com
