It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother on to heaven above on July 30, 2016. Ellen is survived by seven children; Rick, Sharon Vine, John (Phyllis), Jo-Anne Robinson (Garry), Pat (Beverly), Dennis (Linda) and Tim “Sam” (Diana). Special Grandmother to Stacey Martineau (Keith), Jeremy McLeod (Dvina), Kara-Lee Kelly (Nick), Sam Robinson (Melissa), Steve McLeod (Nicole), Dan McLeod (Michelle), Andrew Robinson (Nicole), Erica McLeod (Matt), Michelle Robinson, Jamie, Chelsea, Spencer, Jack and Cheyenne McLeod and the late Cory McKinnon. Great Grandmother to Grace and Ella Martineau, Avean, Callum, Xander and Ryker McLeod and Colsen Kelly. Wife of the late Archie McLeod and very good friend of the late Aubrey Steele. Dear daughter to the late Hugh and Ruth Ferguson. Sister to Marion Boyer (David), Almarie Quinton (Larry), Eleanor Buchanan (Wayne), Bruce Ferguson (Darlene), Shirley Buchanan (Bryan) and the late Anne Keating (Gerry) and the late Alfred Ferguson and Chad Ferguson. Sister-in-law to Doreen Mortimore (Bob) and the late Louis, William, Ora, Leonard, Reginald, David, Roy and Earl. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was a faithful member of the Elizabeth Rebekah Lodge #339 Thessalon and the Thessalon Bible Chapel. Friends may call at the Thessalon Bible Chapel on Wednesday August 3, 2016 from 7:15 to 9pm. Funeral service at the Thessalon Bible Chapel on Thursday August 4, 2016 at 11am followed by interment in Pine Grove Cemetery.
