Surrounded by her loving family at the F. J. Davey Home, Sunday March 20, 2016 at the age of 93. Van is now in the loving arms of her late husband and love of her life Norval. She will be especially remembered by her caring son Chris McMillan (Leah-Anne), her loving daughter Karen Scroggins (Cam), Judy Hanchuk (Mike) and Dan McMillan (Josie). Van was a very special grandmother and great grandmother and will be especially missed by her grandson Kevin Scroggins and granddaughter Rikki Datson. Van was a special sister to Jean Wallace (Bob) and Marie McMillan (Harold). Van is predeceased by her parents Primo and Louise Pagnucco. She was also a special sister in law to the late Gordon McMillan (late Ada), late Margaret Setchel (late Charles), late Phyllis Griswold (late Larry), Doreen Oldroyd (late John), and the late Earl McMillan (late Madeline). Special and dear aunt to Arlene Brunet (late Emil), Joanne Callon (late Walter) and Gary McMillan (Joan).Van was a remarkable woman of great strength, humour and strong faith. A special thanks to the staff at Cedar Grove 3 at the F. J. Davey home for all the love and care provided to Van and the care and compassion shown to our family during this difficult time. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated. At Van’s request there will be no visitation. Friends and family are welcome to attend a special funeral mass at Precious Blood Cathedral at 11 am Tuesday March 22, 2016. Fr. Hamish Currie officiating.
