It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of Elaine Miller in the early morning hours on Sunday, July 3, 2016 just fourteen days before her 78th birthday.  She died peacefully at “Home” with family by her side after being diagnosed with a terminal illness just 6 weeks ago.  She spent the last 6 weeks enjoying visits with loved ones and showed nothing less than amazing strength right up to the end, which was always “her way”.  She is now reunited with her husband Blaine after missing him dearly for more than 23 years. She will be missed beyond measure by her children, Cheryl Ingram (Brian), Randy Lortie (Anne), Marty Lortie (late Brenda), Gayle Miller, Janet Miller (Luke) and Lisa Miller and the lucky ones she “adopted” over the years and loved like they were her own, grandchildren; Michael Blaine (Ashley), Kerri (Devin), and Kim (Justin), Beth (Steve), James (John), Jennifer (Timo) and Carlee (Allie), Marteen (Tyler), and Austin,Veronica Blaine (Nik) and Kirstyn (Judd), Krystin Elaine and Evan, great grandchildren; Andie, Malcolm and Emmett, the newest addition Maddie and two more she would be welcoming this year in October.  She is also reunited with her mother and father Louise and Bill Folz, her younger brothers Orville (late Gloria) (Pat) and David Folz (Florence) and other cherished family and friends.  Elaine is survived by her two younger sisters Barbara Deschamps (Maurice) and Judy O’Connell (late Don) and by her baby brother Philip Folz (Irene).  She will be greatly missed by her loving Aunt Florence, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and co-workers from her more than 3 decades of service to “Ma Bell”.  As per Elaine’s wishes there will be no funeral service.  A celebration of her life will be planned at a later date.  Memorial contributions can be made in her honour to the Sick Kids Hospital, Easter Seals or to the Daffodil Lodge (Sudbury, ON) & would be greatly appreciated.  The family would like to thank Dr. Lane and his amazing Nurse Anne and his office staff for caring for her for the last 5 years, Dr. Spadafora, Dr. Pearse and Bayshore nurses Cheryl, Marianne, Christine and Lee and Dawn (Manager of Nursing) for their care and support.
