(March 14th 1939 – February 22nd 2019) It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nellie Elizabeth Miller.  After struggling with her health for several years and being so lonesome for her soulmate, Nellie mercifully was handed over to God on February 22, 2019.  Nellie was born in Timmins, Ontario and moved to Sault Ste Marie when she was very young.  She enjoyed baseball and quickly caught the eye of a fast driving, curly blonde, rebel. Married at 18 and juggling 4 children within 13 years. She worked at Kmart for several years before retiring with Jim to their trailer.  In their later years, and in order to benefit from the drier heat, Jim and Nellie moved to Arizona.  Nellie was finally reunited with her husband of 53 years, James Albert Miller.  She was a devoted mother to the late Melody Gaetano (Michael), Dorri Kennedy (Dean), Herbie Miller, Erin Misiak (Steven) and Jim Miller (Jacque).  Loving grandmother to Michael, Andrew, Holly, Mathew, Greg, Chelsey, Sydney and Jake.  Great-grandmother to Jesse and Gavin.  Nellie was also a caring sister to the late Ralph Fitton (late Jeannette), late Robert Fitton (Sharron) and her little sister Berniece Keene (Tom).  She loved and was loved in return by many nieces, nephews, cousins and cherished friends.  She will be particularly missed by her childhood ‘sandbox’ friend, Linda Watson.

A memorial service for Nellie will take place on March 16th at 2pm at East Korah Maxwell Church in Sault Ste Marie. The service will be followed by at reception at the church.
